Configuring Dial-Up Networking for Windows NT 4.0
To check the settings or enter a new Phone Book Entry, click
Dial Up Networking from the My Computer window.

If an entry has been made already, click HERE.
If no entries have been made yet, you will see this.
Press OK.

Enter the name they wish to call the entry and Check the box down at the bottom.
Click Finish. Skip the next two boxes by clicking HERE.

Once the appropriate Phonebook Entry has been selected, Click the More button.

Here select Edit Entry and Modem Properties.

Make sure the Local Access Number is entered and is correct.

If you need to change the Modem Info, Click Configure above and you will see this box. Press OK when done.

Make sure the 'extra' protocols are not checked, and press the TCP/IP Settings button. AN ADDITIONAL NOTE: IF YOU GET AN ERROR OF UNABLE TO GET AN IP ADDRESS, UNCHECK PPP LCP EXTENSIONS.

Server assigned IP address should be selected.
Server assigned name addresses should be selected.
Use default gateway on remote network should be selected.
Press OK.
Make sure None is selected here.

Select Accept Any Authentication Including Clear Text.

Nothing should be entered here. Click OK.

Press the Dial Button to Connect.

Make sure the Domain field is blank.
